My #24in48 readathon TBR

Yup, another readathon. I mentioned before that I’d participate in the N.E.W.T.s readathon during August. I’m also going to participate in #24in48 during the weekend of July 21st and 22nd. The goal here is to read 24 hours during the weekend. I really want to keep my reading going, because I’ve been doing so well in the past week. I’m finally getting out of my slump, and I hope readathons will help me keep that momentum going.

So which books am I planning on reading during the #24in48?

No, I don’t think I’ll be able to finish all of these in 1 weekend. But let’s talk about it.

Grey Sister (Book of the Ancestor #2) by Mark Lawrence // I started reading this book a few weeks ago, when I received my pre-order but I was in a huge reading slump then. So I put it down and haven’t picked it back up yet. I’m hoping to get back into reading this during the weekend and finish it this time. I was about 140 pages into it already.

I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman // This was one of my most anticipated releases of the year and I haven’t read it yet. Alice Oseman will be at YALC during the last weekend of July and I’m hoping to get my copy signed then (as well as my two other books by her). I really want to read it before I get it signed.

Children of Blood and Bone (Legacy of OrΓ―sha #1) by Tomi Adeyemi // Same story as Alice Oseman’s novel above. Tomi Adeyemi will be signing at YALC, and I definitely want to get my copy signed. I’d like to read it before meeting her though!

I don’t think I’ll be able to finish them all this weekend. But I can try to make a dent in them surely. After the readathon, I’ll have 4 more days before I’ll leave to YALC so even if I can’t finish them during the weekend I might be able to do so before going to the convention itself.

Are you participating? Have you read any of these?

  1. Yeay exciting that YALC is so soon already. πŸ˜€ Good luck this weekend. I miss the days where I could participate in these but with Merijn that is just not an option. 😦

  2. Oooh, I hadn’t heard about this one and by happy coincidence I have no plans this weekend (I’m on a business trip, so I’m switching city… and the weather forecast is terrible). IT MUST BE FATE πŸ˜‰

  3. Great TBR! πŸ™‚ Good luck! I want to participate in the readathon but my classes end in the middle of next week and I will probably have to spend this weekend finishing my final project and tying up my loose ends. I’ll just live vicariously through you, haha!
