Today’s Top 5 Wednesday topic is 5 of our favorite book covers. There are so many beautiful covers out there, but I chose to stick to books I have read and own a physical copy of. So let’s take a look!

The Final Empire (Mistborn #1) by Brandon Sanderson
This actually represents all of Brandon Sanderson’s books published under Gollancz because the covers are all in a style similar to this book. They fit together so well, and I adore the simplicity of the colors.
Children of Blood and Bone (Legacy of Orïsha #1) by Tomi Adeyemi
I have a paperback copy of this book and it’s absolutely stunning. There are silver threads twined through Zélie’s white hair to give it that foiled look. I could look at it forever.
The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
These covers of the series are so, so gorgeous. We don’t talk about the other covers when these exist…
Sadie by Courtney Summers
I don’t really know what it is about this cover that I adore so much, but every time I hold the ARC of Sadie in my hands, I can’t help but stare. Somehow, I feel like this cover represents the book so well. Maybe I have a thing for the color set up of this book because just like Brandon Sanderson’s books, it’s kept quite simple with white-black-grey and one other prominent color to create a contrast and catch the eye. Gorgeous.
The Bone Witch (The Bone With #1) by Rin Chupeco
I find the covers of the books in this series so stunning. The skull, the girl in the distance, the colors, the foiled details… I knew I needed to own these in physical copy after I read them, because not only do I love the book but I adore the covers too.
I love both covers for Children of Blood and Bone and The Bone Witch. They’re so lovely in person too.

They really are. Both covers are ones that look even better in person 🙂

I absolutely adore the Children of Blood and Bone cover! I’m tempted to get a different set of mistborn covers, but my set is already complete and I can’t justify myself getting another set until I make room in my shelves, lol.

Ha, I get that… I bought the ‘traditional’ old fantasy mass market paperback for The Way of Kings, and now I really want to get the beautiful one to match these but I can’t justify it because I haven’t even read it 😀

The Way of Kings is soooo good! Pretty slow on the buildup, but Sanderson always delivers by the end.
