August in the life, a personal wap up of the month

I skipped July’s personal wrap up post, but I’m actually on time for my August post. Am I proud of myself now? Absolutely. If you’re unaware, in these ‘in the life’ posts I talk about the movies and TV shows I watched, the music and podcasts I listened to, and the things I did in the previous month. Let’s get into it.

what i watched 19

I only got around to watching Queer Eye season 4 in August, even though it was released in July. I absolutely loved this season, it might be one of my favorites so far. If you, for whatever reason, haven’t watched Queer Eye yet please go change that immediately.

I also started watching a K-drama called Fight For My Way. So far, I have seen 8 of the 16 episodes, and quite like it. I hope to finish this series in September!

what i did 19

August was quite the month for me! I started it off on an incredibly high note. I went on a trip to Berlin with one of my wonderful friends, and we went to the Stray Kids concert there. It was absolutely epic and indescribable. You best believe I will be buying tickets if they come to Europe again. They are fantastic performers. I will be going on a trip to Seoul and Tokyo with the same friend in September and October, and I can’t wait. I always have a fantastic time with her. We actually had to get up at 3AM on a random Saturday in August to buy tickets to the Studio Ghibli museum in Tokyo because that’s when the online ticket sale started and they sell out so fast!

August truly centered around rekindling my friendships. After the trip to Berlin, the lovely Alessandra and her boyfriend went on a city trip to Belgium and visited Ghent (where I work). I’m so happy we got to catch up because I truly missed her! I also had a lovely dinner with two of my uni friends, who I hadn’t seen in too long.

As for my family, in August I spent a weekend at my parents’ house, watching their cat while they were on holiday. I truly enjoyed spending a weekend alone in my childhood home. The following weekend, I made a brunch spread for my mom so we could celebrate her birthday together.

In my post where I talk about my absence on this blog, I also mentioned starting a new gym membership. In August, I tried out multiple different group classes aside from the regular workouts and found some I really enjoyed. I took a Zumba class (which I’ll definitely take again), a BodyAttack one (which I’ll also take again but was so hard) and a CrossFit Fundamentals class (which is for “beginners” but nearly killed me and ripped the skin off my hands). I’m having fun discovering the place! I’ve already planned for some more new classes in September.

music

SEVENTEEN – Hit
I really didn’t like this song at first, but grew absolutely obsessed with it a few days later. Weird, right? The performance of this song is completely insane. I have a never-ending amount of respect for SEVENTEEN.

ITZY – Icy
I’m really liking Itzy’s songs so far! They are so catchy, and I love the messages behind them. I can’t wait to see what the future brings these girls.

The Rose – RED
Honestly, The Rose never disappoints. Their songs are always epic. I was quite surprised by the tone of this one though. It’s far happier than their previous ones. Can’t wait to see this live at some point.

EVERGLOW – Adios
Does the way they pronounce “au revoir” kind of bother me? Yes. Do I still think this is a bomb song? Absolutely. The MV is pretty amazing too!

ONEWE – Regulus
I. LOVE. THIS. SONG. My love for ONEWE just keeps on growing and growing.

podcast

Mobile

I’ve been listening to Potterless while doing chores this month, and it’s been fantastic. If you haven’t listened to this podcast yet, I’d urge you to give it a go. It’s hosted by Mike Schubert, a 25-year-old man who is reading the Harry Potter series for the first time. He discusses a few chapters per episode, and always invites a Harry Potter fan onto the podcast so they can talk about the chapters together. It’s so much fun! While I adore the HP series and have done so since I was a child, I do acknowledge that it has its faults and problematic parts. This podcast never fails to make me laugh, it’s so funny.

That was my month! How was August for you? Did you do anything fun? Watch any good movies? Listen to some fantastic music? Let me know!

June in the life, a personal wrap up

As you may know, every month I write a post on all the movies and TV shows I watched, the music I listened to, and the things I did in the past month. Let’s see what my life in June looked like!

what i watched 19

One of the shows I watched in June was Jinn, the new Arabic Netflix Original. I binge-watched the whole thing, which isn’t that much of a feat since there are only 5 episodes or so. It was a fun time, but I’ve heard quite a lot of criticism on it already. Obviously, it was very dramatic and over the top at times, since it’s a TV show about teenagers. However, I’ve heard people say that the dialogue is really off, and that no one actually talks like that (which is something I would have never noticed, as I cannot speak the language).

I also finished watching La Casa de Papel, in preparation for the new season coming in July. I adore this show. It has become one of my absolute favorites, and I find myself glued to the screen whenever I’m watching it. I can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for us next.

I also watched Always Be My Maybe, a new Netflix movie everyone has been loving. It was so cute! I loved Ali Wong in this film, she did such an incredible job at portraying her character. One of my favorite parts of this movie is how important her career is to her, and how she isn’t willing to give that up because of love. It’s such an important message! The only thing that prevented me from giving this 5 stars is Randall Park. I didn’t love his acting, to be honest. At times, it felt like he wasn’t taking this movie seriously? I’m not sure whether that was the point of the character or not, but it made me feel odd.

what i did 19

Buckle up, because June was a wild ride.

The first weekend of June, I traveled to London to see BTS perform at Wembley Stadium. It was one of the best concerts I have ever seen, if not the best. I can’t even describe it properly. Here’s a little video I took of the crowd!

A week or two later, I also saw Eric Nam in concert in Brussels! He was a fantastic performer. His voice is out of this world, and he’s way funnier than I ever realized.

Lastly, I bought tickets to see Stray Kids in Berlin in August! I can’t wait, as they’re one of my top 3 groups.

In June, I rediscovered my love for dance workouts and pilates. I had to stop doing them for the past two weeks because it’s been more than 30°C in Belgium and my apartment is an oven, but I’m excited to start a workout routine again.

A few days ago, I also watched my little cousin graduate high school. I’m so proud of her!

what i listened to 19

A.C.E – Under Cover
I know what you’re thinking. Didn’t I talk about this song in last month’s wrap up? Yes, I did! However, I still can’t stop listening to it and thus it deserved another mention.

ONE OK ROCK – Stand Out Fit In
Last month, Lindsey talked about ONE OK ROCK in her monthly wrap up. Since we usually love similar music, I decided to give them a try. I then continued to fall in love with them and have listened to their latest album on repeat.

Stray Kids – Side Effects
For the first time since falling in love with Stray Kids, I’ve had to listen to one of their songs on repeat before I could really get into it. It’s so different, yet so Stray Kids at the same time. I’m enjoying the song, but have to admit it’s not my favorite comeback so far.

ONE OK ROCK – Eye of the Storm
Like I mentioned before, I’ve been listening to this album on repeat.

Taylor Swift – You Need to Calm Down
I can’t stop singing along to this song! Someone help me!!

JK – Euphoria
I adore this song, but this new version of memories of JK made by the members just kills me.

What did you do in June?

may in the life, a personal wrap up

As always, I write a bookish monthly wrap up and a personal one, in which I talk about the movies and shows I watched, the music I listened to, and the things I did in the previous month.

what i watched 19

I didn’t watch that much this month, which makes me wonder what I actually did in my free time in May. I didn’t read that much, I didn’t watch that much… What on Earth did I actually do?

Either way, I watched a few more episodes of Game of Thrones season 8. I’ve only watched three episodes of the last season, but thanks to the wonderful people of the internet who tweet spoilers without any contextual words in it, I already know how it ends. I muted SO MANY words, but obviously that doesn’t help when people live tweet pictures without words.

I also finished watching Put Your Head On My Shoulder, a Chinese drama I’ve been obsessed with. I think it’s one of those shows that’s quietly beautiful, since there isn’t that much drama in this romance. The main love interest is a soft boy, and you know that’s what I’m about.

what i did 19

I feel like I didn’t do many noteworthy things in May, to be honest. Seriously, what did I actually do last month? I had my nails done twice, and went to a shoe sale. I went to a restaurant with my family to celebrate some birthdays. I helped my mom with a garage sale she did. I went and voted in the regional, national, and European elections. Let’s not talk about that one though, before I become a fiery pit of rage again. I also went to a Korean restaurant/take-out place in Ghent with one of my friends, which was phenomenal.

Since I needed something to return to in order to keep my sanity intact, I started doing some yoga again for the first time in months. I’m really going to try and keep up with it this time because it does me so much good.

what i listened to 19

Time for the music part!

WINNER – Ah Yeah
I’ve been playing this song on repeat ever since it came out. It’s such a fun summer song, even if it’s about a breakup.

ONEWE – Reminisce about all
A completely different vibe than the previous song, but no less beautiful. I absolutely love bands, and I can’t wait to see what the future will bring for them.

A.C.E – Under Cover
THIS SONG! AND THESE OUTFITS. Don’t talk to me about the yellow bee/wasp outfit, because I’m deceased. How does he manage to look badass and good in that getup? I can’t fathom.

ONEUS – Twilight
I absolutely loved ONEUS’ debut song Valkyrie so I listened to their comeback as soon as it was released. There’s something about the vibe of their songs I really dig. I’d also like to know where they filmed the MV because the scenes are stunning. I’d guess it was somewhere in (Southern) Europe, but I’m not sure.

Lee Hi – No One (ft. iKON’s B.I)
This might be the catchiest and most fun song on the list this month. I love her voice, and the drop is fantastic. The MV is slightly weird though, with the whole cat thing… Also: B.I!

How was your month? Did you watch anything fun? Listen to any good music? Do some fun things?

April in the life | a personal wrap up

As you may know, every month I write both a reading and personal wrap up. In this “in the life” post, I talk about the TV shows and movies I watched, the music I listened to, and the things I did in the previous month. Let’s take a look at my April!

what i watched black

I was 2 seasons behind on Game of Thrones before the start of the last season, so I watched a recap (GASP!) before the first episode of season 8 was released. I’m following along with season 8, so I’ve now watched the first episode. I still have to catch up on episode 2 and 3. NO SPOILERS, EVERYONE.

I’m also watching Skam France season 4. I watched season 3 as it was released, and absolutely loved it. I think it’s the first remake that comes close to the brilliance of the Norwegian show. As I really liked Imane in season 3, I knew I wanted to watch her season as well. So far, it’s incredible.

I also started watching Put Your Head On My Shoulders, a Chinese drama I randomly found thanks to MyDramaList and YouTube. You can actually follow along on YouTube, as episodes with English subtitles are posted twice a week! I’m really loving it so far. I’ve completely caught up, and am now eagerly awaiting the next episodes. I adore the fact that the main male character is smart, kind, considerate and just a soft boy. Yes, please.

While I was home sick, I also managed to watch the entirety of W – Two Worlds Apart, a Korean drama that’s been on my to-watch list for ages. I really enjoyed it, and think I gave it a rating of 9/10. It became a little bit too convoluted at the end, but overall it’s a fantastic drama. If you want to watch an action-packed series with romance, this is a great choice.

what i did black

April flew by, honestly, because it was so busy. I went to the ATEEZ concert on the 12th in Amsterdam, which was pretty great. I really enjoyed it! They’re incredible dancers and performers.

I also celebrated Easter with my family, even though none of us are actually religious. The weather was fantastic for a few days in April, and everyone was basking in the first sun. So did I. I already had two BBQs, and it’s only May!

Yeah, that’s it really. I went to a concert, spent time with my family, and enjoyed the first sun. I know that doesn’t sound busy at all, but somehow I still barely had any time at home. Where did my days go?

what i listened to black

BTS – Dionysus
Aside from Intro: Persona, this might be my favorite song in BTS’ new album. I’ve listened to it countless times, and just can’t get enough of it. The stage looks incredible as well, and I can’t wait to (hopefully) see it live in June!

Jonas Brothers – Cool
I am living for these Jonas Brothers songs! Both Sucker and Cool are so catchy and fun, and I’ve been listening to them on repeat.

Stray Kids – Chronosaurus
I don’t often fall in love with an entire album. Usually, I will pick two or three songs from it I absolutely love, and add those to my playlist. That wasn’t the case with Stray Kids’ MIROH. I added pretty much the entire album to my playlist, and Chronosaurus is one of my absolute favorites.

Angèle feat. Roméo Elvis – Tout Oublier
I just love this song. I don’t have much to say about it, since I figure most of you have heard it countless times already. If you haven’t, please listen to it now!

CHEN – Love Words
Chen’s new mini album is absolutely beautiful, but Love Words is undoubtedly a new favorite of mine. It’s just so gorgeous. His voice is to die for.

5 Seconds of Summer – Youngblood
This is another one I feel needs no explanation. This song is just catchy and fantastic.

What did you watch, listen to, and do in April?

March in the life | personal wrap up

As always, I’m making a separate monthly wrap up to discuss the movies and TV shows I watched, the music I listened to, and the things that happened to me in the past month.

what i did black

So, March… It was quite the interesting month!

I started the month off by getting two wisdom teeth extracted, which wasn’t very fun if I’m being honest. I didn’t read or do much in the 10 days following the extraction, which is why I ended up watching so many TV shows last month. Be warned, the next section of this wrap up will be long!

In more exciting news, I got a new job! I started on the 18th, and I’m really happy about it. I was definitely nervous on my first day, but it’s been such a good experience so far. Obviously, it’s time-consuming, and I expect I won’t be watching many shows or reading many books in the coming weeks. That’s okay though. I watched plenty in March…

what i watched black

The only movie I managed to watch in March was Arrival, but it was definitely a hit. It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a movie so thoroughly, and it truly took me by surprise. I know people had been screaming about it for years, but I somehow thought it wasn’t one for me. How wrong was I? It was brilliant. A new favorite for sure!

I also watched the entirety of Coffee Prince, which is arguably one of the most famous Korean dramas ever. It has the girl-disguises-as-boy trope we all happen to love, but it’s a tad deeper than most shows that revolve around the topic. I loved this show far more than I expected to -see, there’s a trend here- especially since it’s now about 12 years old. Either way, you can read my full thoughts on the show in my review, here.

I also (finally) started watching La Casa de Papel. This show has been on my Netflix to-watch list for absolute ages! I’ve seen 7 episodes so far, and I’m hooked. Once I start watching, I can’t seem to stop. It’s so intense, and I’m invested in all the characters already. I’ve been putting off continuing the show, because I haven’t had much time the past few weeks, and know that once I start watching, I’ll end up glued to the screen for hours.

I also watched Romance is a Bonus Book in March, a Korean drama I’ve quickly fallen in love with. I already knew Lee Jong-suk was one of the most beautiful men ever, but I truly enjoyed his acting in this show. I also loved Lee Na-young in this drama, as she portrayed such a refreshing and fun woman. Truly, Kang Dan-yi is a woman I’d like to be friends with. Thanks to Netflix and the enormous backlist of Asian dramas I want to watch, I haven’t watched a show where I had to wait a week for an episode in ages. I saw this one on Netflix though, and couldn’t resist. All too quickly, I had caught up with the show and had to wait for 2 new episodes every Tuesday. You best believe I binged those ones as soon as I possibly could.

I also watched the Flemish show called De Luizenmoeder, which is an adaptation of the Dutch show of the same name. If you translate the title literally, it makes The Lice Mother. It follows the mothers of a group of elementary school children, and the staff at the school. It’s absolutely hilarious, and I binged it in one weekend. I did watch the Flemish version instead of the original Dutch one, because I am Belgian (and Flemish) so it’s far more relatable for me.

Inbetween all that, I watched season 3 of SKAM France. You may know that I’m a huge fan of the original SKAM, a Norwegian TV show about the lives of a group of teenagers from the same school. I haven’t really been interested in watching the remakes, because I already know the story and think no one can really top the original actors. HOWEVER, I fell into the French remake somehow, and watched the entirety of season 3 – Elliot and Lucas’ story. I love it. They’re the first ones to come close to the original Isak and Even. Sometimes, I can’t even tell who I prefer more. I think they’re incredible actors, especially Axel Auriant – who portrays Lucas/Isak.

Lastly, I watched the entire third season of Queer Eye. Who is surprised? NOT ME. Once again, I love this show. The new season is no exception on that rule. It’s fantastic.

what i listened to black

Ready for the music section? Let’s go!

The Jonas Brothers – Sucker
Who is surprised? NOT ME. You know I’ve been listening to this song on repeat since March 1st, and I’m not apologizing for it. It’s absolutely fantastic. I think it leans more towards the music Joe’s been making with DNCE – and I love it. Can we also talk about the MV? It’s so beautiful, silly, and fun, and I’m so happy all their significant others are in it.

ONEUS – Valkyrie
I finally watched ONEUS’ debut song, Valkyrie, and consequently fell in love with it. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to this song in March. It’s an embarrassing amount, for sure.

Jus2 – Focus on Me
GOT7’s music has always been hit or miss for me, but this sub-unit blew me away. I don’t know what I was expecting from a Yugyeom-Jaebum song, but it wasn’t this. It might be my favorite song of them so far? It’s so chill, yet demands your attention. The choreography is amazing, and can we talk about the editing in this video? Damn. I love the smoothness of this song, though, and can listen to it again and again.

MAMAMOO – gogobebe
It’s official, MAMAMOO is my favorite girl group. I love all their music. They’re such incredibly talented women, and I am filled with endless admiration. It’s silly, fun, and catchy.

Stray Kids – MIROH
Listen, Stray Kids is one of my absolute favorite groups. They’ve never had a comeback I didn’t like/love, and Miroh is no exception. I have to admit that I had to listen to it twice when it was first released, because the song is so overwhelming that I didn’t absorb anything on the first listen. Now, it’s been on repeat ever since its release. The entire album is filled with amazing songs though.

BTS – Persona (Comeback Trailer)
I usually don’t fall in love with BTS’ comeback trailers – don’t kill me. However, RM is absolutely fantastic in persona, and I’ve had so much fun diving into the lyrics. I wish this was on Spotify already so I could add it to my playlist.

That’s everything for March! Have you watched any of these shows, or listened to any of these songs? If you have any recommendations for me, I’d love to hear it!

February in the life | personal wrap up

If you’ve been reading my blog posts for a while, you’ll probably know I divide my wrap ups every month: one that focuses on everything I read, and one in which I talk about the shows and movies I watched, music I listened to, and things I did.

what i watched black

Let’s start with everything I managed to watch in the past month!

On Your Wedding Day – ★★★★ – really liked it
I watched On Your Wedding Day because a) it was one of the movies available on my flight to Abu Dhabi and b) I love Park Bo-young. I had never even heard of this movie before, but am so glad I watched it! I ended up really enjoying it, as you can probably tell from my 4-star rating. It’s about a guy and a girl who meet in high school and fall in love, but then one day the girl disappears. He spots her in a promotional folder of a university years later, and decides to study as hard as possible so he can go there and they can meet again. While I didn’t love how much of his life depended on her, I did fall in love with the characters and their story. Also: THAT ENDING.

Bohemian Rhapsody – ★★★★.₅ – loved it
This was another one I managed to watch on said flight! I’d been meaning to see it in theaters, but as usual never actually got to doing that. I was mesmerized by this movie. I was so emotional while watching, which is odd because I wasn’t even alive in Freddie Mercury’s lifetime. Of course, like most other people, I grew up listening to Queen… Rami Malek was absolutely incredible in this. For the first time in a long while, I completely forgot there was an actor behind this performance. Most of the time, I’m quite aware that it’s someone portraying a character. Not here. I completely forgot it was Rami the entire time.

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo – ★★★★ – really liked it
This is honestly one of the most often recommended Korean dramas, and I finally gave it a go. It’s about a woman and a man who go to the same university; the girl is a weightlifter, and the guy a swimmer. I really enjoyed this drama because it was light-hearted and funny, yet had some depth to it at the same time. I love that there wasn’t any /much unnecessary drama to break the couple up like there is in most shows, and that they didn’t make the guy’s ex-girlfriend into a villain.

Game of Thrones season 1 and 2 – ★★★★★ – favorite
I rewatched the first two seasons of Game of Thrones in February! Ideally, I’d like to watch everything that’s been released so far before the start of the new/last season on April 14th. That’s probably not going to happen though, since the episodes are so long. But I want to watch it all without spoilers! Obviously, I loved it. I adore this show.

what i did black

What happened in February? Although it was a short month, I feel like I did quite a lot. As usual, I went to some job interviews. But I also managed to do quite a lot of fun things with friends and family!

I went to a quiz with my cousin, and we killed it (we ended up 7th out of the 20 groups, but I’ll take it). One of my absolute best friends had her birthday party and it was wonderful. I went to the gym with a lovely friend a couple of times as well, which is fantastic because we’re working out and get to see each other more often! I babysat for an evening, which was quite fun as well.

The most memorable thing that happened in February was my trip to Abu Dhabi and Dubai! I went for a week to visit a friend who works in Abu Dhabi, and it was fantastic. The weather was great, and I got to see quite a bit. My favorite moment was when we spent the day on a private island called Zaya Nurai. If you ever go to Abu Dhabi, please take a day out of your schedule to go there. It’s so beautiful and relaxing!

Of course, after the highs came a low. I got the flu and bronchitis on my way back from Abu Dhabi which resulted in the worst flight I’ve ever been on. I’m all better now though!

what i listened to black

Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody
You know I had to listen to this again and again after watching the movie. I don’t think this song requires any explanation, to be honest.

Queen – Radio Ga Ga
For some reason, this has always been one of my favorite Queen songs…

Queen – We Will Rock You
Obviously, this is on the list.

ATEEZ – Hala Hala
A completely different direction than Queen, but true nonetheless. I’ve listened to this song so often in the past month…

Taemin – Want
Listen, Taemin is an absolutely king. This MV is fantastic, and the song is so good! I’d like to have a talk with the one in charge of editing this music video though, because I think I might be in love with them.

How was your February? Have you seen any of the movies or shows I mentioned, or listened to some of the songs? What did you listen to, watch or do last month?

January in the life | personal wrap up

January has come and gone, which means it’s time for the wrap ups to start. I always create a wrap up where I talk about the books I read during the month prior to the post, as well as a wrap up where I discuss the movies and TV shows I watched, the music I listened to, and the things I did.

what i watched black

Burning – ★★★★
I saw some people mention Burning as one of their favorite movies of last year, or as one of the most underrated ones. When I discovered a cinema in Brussels was playing it for two days in January, I knew I wanted to go. I ended up really enjoying it! It’s not a movie for those who love to have every question answered by the end, but I think that’s part of its charm. Go into this movie not knowing anything, and message me with your theories when you’ve done so!

Searching – ★★★★.₅
Searching was actually the first movie I watched in 2019! Once again, inspired by people’s list of favorite and most surprising movies of the year. I would have never watched it without seeing it mentioned so often. The movie is described as following a father whose daughter goes missing. Nothing new, right? However, this story is only told through tech – FaceTime, security cameras, desktop screengrabs, etc. It’s a very interesting way to tell a mystery because it makes the audience feel like they’re investigating the disappearance alongside the main character.

Tidying Up With Marie Kondo – ★★★★
I have a full review of this show coming up, so I won’t say too much here. Suffice it to say I absolutely loved it. Marie Kondo seems like the most adorable and respectful person on the entire planet, and I would protect her with my life.

What’s wrong with Secretary Kim? – ★★★★★
This has to be one of my favorite Asian dramas so far. I’ll definitely write a ‘thoughts on TV’ post on it soon, but I want you all to go watch it now. It follows a young Vice Chairman/CEO who has been at the top of his game for years. Partly thanks to his secretary, Secretary Kim, who has been by his side for 9 years. One day, seemingly out of nowhere, she tells him she’ll be resigning soon. The CEO, who is the biggest narcissist ever, just can’t seem to understand why someone would willingly quit working for him and decides to investigate.

Because this is my first life – ★★★.₅
I only watched a few episodes of Because this is my first life, since I watched the majority of it in 2018. I thought it was okay but nothing special. I didn’t understand the main female character, to be honest. Her actions became completely ridiculous to me by the end. However, it was an enjoyable show overall!

what i did black

January always feels like such a long month, doesn’t it? It seems absolutely endless… However, I’m happy to report some pretty great things happened to me in January!

Obviously, I celebrated New Year’s with my family at the start of the year. It was nice to see everyone together again, and I ate some incredible food. Actually, I ate a lot of incredible food…

I made plans with some of my best friends as well. Here’s some of what I did with my friends: had lunch, went shopping, went to see a movie, had coffee, had dinner at some of my favorite places, went to the gym… Even the gym was fun because it gave me some time to spend with a precious friend!

I also hosted a Korean dinner party for some wonderful people I’ve known all my life. We cooked several dishes (japchae, tteokbokki, jjajangmyeon and tangsuyuk) so everyone could try some of the most popular foods! I think they liked it well enough!

Something small but incredibly wonderful is that I put some money aside to get my nails done. Getting my nails done is such a small thing, but it immediately makes me feel put together! I hate doing them myself, so I went to my favorite salon in my neighborhood instead. I go once every two to three weeks now to choose a different color.

Last, but most certainly not least, I went to Amsterdam for two days with a friend! We mainly went to see DAY6 in concert, but stayed the next day so we could sleep in and have some food together before we both went home. It was such a nice time, and I was so happy to spend time with her again! DAY6 was absolutely fantastic. I think it might have been the best concert I’ve ever been to. I also bought a DAY6 hoodie!

While I was in Amsterdam, I got an ear piercing as well! I’ve been wanting one for ages but never actually went through with it. It was one of my 3-monthly goals for 2019 and I’m glad I finally did it. Even though it hurts at times right now.

what i listened to black

Ariana Grande – 7 rings
Even though I find the tattoo story absolutely hilarious, I do quite like the song. It’s one of those songs I had to get used to. I didn’t like it the first time I listened to it, but it grew on me after a while.

Whoever said money can’t solve your problems
Must not have had enough money to solve ’em

WayV – Regular
This might be my favorite version of Regular. This song marked the debut of WayV (NCT China), and I couldn’t be more excited.

ATEEZ – Say My Name
I’m really impressed with this group. They’re so new, yet they’ve created a few songs I’ve absolutely loved already.

That’s it, my month of January! Although it was a long one, I’m quite happy with everything that happened. How was your month? Did you do anything fun? Watch any great movies or shows? Listen to some fantastic music?
